About Us

mission

The Solatido’s objective is to become a micro-cultural community center. The Solatido adds a public facility to Westwood’s predominantly residential neighborhood, which has few designated event venues.

As a nontraditional event space, we appreciate showcasing multi-cultural work, which could include a performance, a participatory event, community contributions, or art.We hold panels, conversations, and meet-ups. We support projects that benefit nonprofit organizations.

In order to further this cause, we also sell books, bags, tee-shirts, and… art!

vision

Art & Music exists in a Solatido, the space between private and public life, inside and outside. Solatido identifies passages not just in building but also in the body – eyes, nose, ears, and so on. Space bridges the gap. We envision a culture in which everyone opens the door of their private lives to the public.

A fully customizable space in the heart of Downtown Westwood that serves as a cafe, creative studio, and meeting space during business hours. This space is ideal for variety of meetings and gatherings formats, movie screenings and performances, and the perfect place for networking workshops.

• In addition to the amenities listed above, we have a small number of items–linens, wine glasses, ice bucket–available for a nominal fee.
• Capacity: 110 standing, 70 seated theater-style (capacity can increase up to 150 with variance from Fire Department)

General Rules

1. Food & Beverages from outside sources are always welcomed, we also offer a list of local trusted catering companies to make the process easier for our members and visitors.
2. Smoking is not allowed in the building.
3. Time needed for setup & clean up of this space should included in desired total rental time.
